Charitable contributions to The Adirondack Trust Company Community Fund can be made either to the General Fund or to a Donor Advised Fund.
Donors can make a tax-deductible donation of any amount to the General Fund for the overall benefit of local nonprofit organizations. Distributions from the General Fund are directed by the Adirondack Trust Company Community Fund Advisory Committee through grant awards.
A Donor Advised Fund allows individuals, families, and businesses to make charitable contributions in a way that is most beneficial for their tax planning, while maintaining the ability to recommend grants to be made to qualifying charities over time. The minimum amount to establish a Donor Advised Fund is $5,000. Once established additional contributions can be made in amounts of $1,000 or more at any time.
Whether providing funds for human service organizations, youth development, the arts and other cultural groups, or facilitating your unique philanthropic interests, The Community Fund is here as a way to help you support local nonprofits that are 501(c)(3) organizations.
